PTO Meeting

Dear Parents,

Free Math and Chemistry Tutoring

The math department has free tutoring for all high school math courses and chemistry everyday in Room 113 (Dr. Robinson's classroom) during lunch recess. Please take advantage of this great opportunity.

D.C. Trip

This past summer, 38 students from Louisiana’s 3rd and 5th Congressional Districts boarded a bus to Washington DC. This educational trip, organized by Alderman Tyrone Glover, included visits to the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, the Holocaust Museum, the African-American Museum, the Library of Congress, US Capitol, Arlington National Cemetery and the White House.
During their visit, the students were introduced to Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins and Ralph Abraham who also helped arrange this trip.
As a gift from Congressman Clay Higgins, Alderman Glover presented them with a framed picture of the group in front of the capitol signed by the Congressman himself.

Helping with Flood Relief

PBHS, let's please help out with this tomorrow and Friday! You never know when we may need the same assistance. Thanks in advance to everyone who donates! You can bring items to Port Barre High School and PBPD will be picking the items up.

The Port Barre Police Department will be collecting supplies for the victims of Harvey! If you want to help those that have been devastated by this storm, please bring supplies to the Port Barre Police Department. We plan on bringing the supplies to a designated location in Lake Charles this Monday or Tuesday!

This is a list of items needed:
Cleaning supplies
Mops, brooms
Trash bags
toiletry items
Bleach
Gloves
Mosquito repellent
Buckets
Cleaning rags
Scrub brushes
Personal hygiene products
Handi Wipes or reusable wipes
Paper masks
Laundry detergent
Diapers and formula for babies
Stuffed animal dolls (to help comfort little children)
